Saint Michael the Archangel Feast and Panzerotto and Pettole Festival

The 2025 Feast of Saint Michael the Archangel in the Virbo district of Monopoli took place on May 17 and 18, preceded by a three-day preparation period from May 14 to 16 (at 18:30). The occasion featured the 41st edition of the Panzerotto and Pettole Festival, showcasing local culinary traditions.

On Saturday evening, after the 18:30 Holy Mass, the stage was enlivened by the cover band I Komandanti, dedicated to the music of Vasco Rossi. Sunday alternated between religious and secular moments: solemn Holy Mass at 10:00, a concert by the Domenico Giuliani Band of Polignano a Mare at 17:00, Holy Mass with the procession of the Saint's statue through the districts of Virbo and Barcato at 18:30, and evening musical entertainment by Radio Norba with vocalist Daniele Colacicco and DJ Alberto Sozio. The event closed with a 23:00 fireworks display by Itria Fireworks of Martina Franca.
