Edition 2025 — Saint Methodius

In 2025, the community of the Saint Methodius Parish in Syracuse once again renewed the traditional patronal feast of the Acradina district. As is customary, the festivities combined moments of prayer, a solemn Eucharistic celebration, and the evening procession of the saint's statue through the neighborhood streets, with the usual bell ringing and firecrackers announcing the festival.

In June 2025, the Acradina district of Syracuse celebrated the Saint Methodius Festival, patron of the parish of the same name. The festival followed the traditional pattern: the day opened with the ringing of bells and firecrackers, liturgical rites including the recitation of the Rosary and a solemn Eucharistic concelebration, and finally the highly anticipated evening procession.

The statue of Saint Methodius was carried in procession through the streets surrounding the parish, accompanied by the faithful of the neighborhood, returning to Piazza San Metodio for a final moment of celebration and fraternity in the parish courtyard. An event that confirms the strong bond between the community and the saint of Syracusan origin.
