The Saint Mary Magdalene Festival is the historic patronal feast of the hilly hamlet of Castelcerino, above the village of Soave (Verona). With over 140 editions documented, it is one of the oldest and most rooted festivals in the area, dedicated to the patron saint Saint Mary Magdalene, celebrated on July 22nd.
Taste, dancing, and tradition
The festival, organized by the Castelcerino Festival Committee, takes place in July and offers food and wine stalls with local specialties, a wine bar with local wines, a dance floor, theatre performances with comedies in the Veronese dialect, an orchestral review, and the traditional night-time bicycle ride starting and ending in Castelcerino. There is also a solidarity wine bar with a charity raffle.
