Edition 2025 — Saint Luigi Gonzaga Festival

The 2025 edition of the Saint Luigi Gonzaga patronal festival took place in Valmontone on the last weekend of September, culminating on Sunday, September 28, with the historic Fiera delle Merci, open from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM along the city streets. The Municipality had accepted applications from street vendors until August 31, confirming the vitality of an event that combines the religious dimension of the solemn procession with a large traditional market.

In 2025, Valmontone renewed its double celebration of the patron saint, Saint Luigi Gonzaga: after the solemn procession on June 20, which started from the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Maggiore, the September festival closed the summer season on the last weekend of the month. The highlight of the edition was the traditional Saint Luigi Fair on Sunday, September 28, 2025, with market stalls—clothing, textiles, wickerwork, toys, handicrafts, and typical food products—distributed along the streets of the center from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

As in previous editions, the weekend featured the established format of the patronal festival: the day dedicated to associations and rural traditions in the La Valle district, the solemn evening procession accompanied by the town band and followed by fireworks, and the large Sunday market fair. An event organized by the Municipality of Valmontone, in the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, which confirms the Saint Luigi festival as the main popular event of the end of summer in the territory.
