Saint Lucy Festival 2025

The 2025 edition of the patronal feast of Carlentini was held from August 23 to 25, with a series of preparatory events starting as early as August 20: the inauguration of the Archaeological Ante-Park named after Dr. Gaetano Failla with a concert by Replay, the awarding of honorary citizenship to Professor Gaetano Gimmillaro, and the arrival of the twin delegation from Omaha, with the naming of the theater after Subby Anzaldo.

The religious heart of the festival consisted of the processions of the statue and the homage to the relic of Saint Lucy. On Piazza A. Diaz, the stage hosted Bellamorèa (Saturday 23), Sugar Free (Sunday 24), and Fabrizio Moro (Monday 25). Cultural events included a photography exhibition on the arrival of Saint Lucy at the church of Santa Maria di Roccadia, the "Il rione delle Arti" craft market at Omaha Park, and the official signing of the Carlentini-Omaha twinning.
