Saint Lucy Festival and the Ballo della Pupa

On December 13, 2025, Torre de' Passeri celebrated its most cherished festival in honor of Saint Lucy, the town's co-patron saint. The day began at 6:30 AM with the band marching through the village streets amidst the sound of firecrackers, followed by the 8:30 AM Holy Mass celebrated by Father Matteo Mosca at the Beata Vergine Maria delle Grazie church. In the morning, the band met with middle school students and performed in Piazza Plebiscito. In the afternoon, after the preparatory Mass at 5:00 PM, the statue of the saint was carried in procession through the historic center. In the evening, the Ballo della Pupa in Piazza Mazara and the pyromusical fireworks in Piazza Papa Giovanni XXIII concluded a day of celebration and community.
