Saint Lawrence Under the Stars
The Saint Lawrence Festival is the grand summer celebration of Padernello, a hamlet in the Municipality of Paese, in the province of Treviso. It is celebrated in honor of Saint Lawrence, patron of the parish, and culminates on August 10th, the liturgical day of the saint and the night of shooting stars. As the parish priest recalls, the festival is "the joyful expression of the bond between our parish and its patron saint".
A Celebration That Lasts for Days
For almost two weeks, the food stalls offer traditional Venetian dishes, accompanied by musical and dancing evenings, sports tournaments (five-a-side football, volleyball, bowls), vintage car and motorcycle rallies, and social gatherings for all ages. The community aspect is not lacking, with shared lunches and a charity lottery to support the parish.
Community, Faith, and Solidarity
Beyond the celebration, the festival has always had a concrete purpose: to contribute to the upkeep of the church and bell tower of Padernello, which have undergone significant restoration work over the years. It is a festival that combines fun, tradition, and commitment to the common good, deeply rooted in the social fabric of the Treviso region.

The festival spans almost two weeks with evening food stalls, musical and dancing evenings, sports tournaments, vintage vehicle rallies, and religious events dedicated to patron Saint Lawrence, culminating in the solemn celebration on August 10th.
