Saint Lawrence Feast 2025 in Bagnoli Irpino

The 2025 edition followed the established pattern of the Bagnoli patronal feast. From August 7th to 9th, the triduum of preparation took place, with the rosary at 5:30 PM and the Eucharistic celebration with catechesis at 6:00 PM.

Sunday, August 10th, the day of Saint Lawrence, opened at 8:00 AM with the marching band parading through the streets of the historic center. This was followed by the 9:30 AM mass and the solemn mass at 11:00 AM, with a reflection on the saint's life and the participation of civil and military authorities. At 6:30 PM, the procession reached the San Lorenzo district, where at 7:15 PM, mass was celebrated on the square in front of the small church, which was undergoing restoration work at the time. At 8:00 PM, the torchlight return to the mother church took place, followed at 8:30 PM by community prayer with Eucharistic blessing and the kissing of the relic.

The civil part culminated at 10:00 PM with the concert by Eugenio Bennato, one of the historic names in the rediscovery of Southern folk music. The invitation extended by the community to emigrants, tourists, immigrants, and refugees confirmed the welcoming character of the feast in the Municipality of Bagnoli Irpino, in the Province of Avellino.
