Three days of celebration in the San Giuseppe district of Bollate, between faith, sport, and food
The Saint Joseph the Worker Festival is the festival of the San Giuseppe district in Bollate, in the Metropolitan City of Milan. It is held over the May 1st long weekend, the feast day of Saint Joseph the Worker, and transforms the area around the parish church and the oratory into a meeting place for the entire community.
The festival naturally combines the religious dimension — with solemn Mass, the Rosary, and prayer moments — with the convivial and sporting aspects. Communal lunches and dinners are held under the large marquee, from the May 1st communal table to the big outdoor "hamburger feast"; sports tournaments and challenges involving young people and families take place on the field.
Spread over three days, the festival alternates celebrations, aperitifs with DJ sets, activities for younger attendees, and sports awards. It is an event that reflects the spirit of a neighborhood, capable of bringing together different generations around faith, sport, and food.
The 2026 Saint Joseph the Worker Festival enlivens the San Giuseppe district of Bollate from May 1st to 3rd, intertwining religious tradition, sport, music, and conviviality.
It opens on Friday, May 1st, with the solemn Mass at 11:00 AM and the communal lunch under the marquee, followed by sports tournaments and, from 6:00 PM, an aperitif accompanied by a DJ set and the Rosary at 8:30 PM. Saturday, May 2nd, features activities for younger attendees and, in the evening, a big outdoor "hamburger feast" for families and young people. Sunday, May 3rd, after Mass, there will be space for the sports finals and awards ceremony at 5:00 PM.
