A festival reborn in the name of faith
In Seregno, in the Province of Monza and Brianza, the Festival of Saint Joseph is a tradition that is reborn. Around March 19th, the liturgical feast day of the Saint, the Basilica of Saint Joseph becomes the focal point of solemn celebrations that involve the entire parish community, in the name of faith and hope.
The 2026 edition takes on a special meaning: the solemn mass on March 19th, presided over by Bishop Giudice, marks the beginning of the parish jubilee year. An extraordinary gift, granted on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the parish of Saint Joseph, as a concrete sign of mercy and hope for the entire community.
After a period of less visibility, the Festival of Saint Joseph regains momentum thanks to the renewed involvement of the faithful and the commitment of the new parish priests. The anniversary combines the strictly religious dimension, made up of liturgies and moments of prayer, with the more popular and community-oriented one, typical of Brianza's patronal feasts.
For the community of Seregno, the Festival of Saint Joseph is much more than an anniversary: it is a moment of rediscovering one's roots and of collective participation. An event that, in 2026, takes on an even stronger value thanks to the jubilee year, and which renews the neighborhood's bond with its Saint.
The 2026 edition of the Festival of Saint Joseph animated the Basilica of Saint Joseph in Seregno from March 19th to 22nd. On March 19th, the solemn mass presided over by Bishop Giudice marked the beginning of the parish jubilee year, granted for the parish's 40th anniversary.
