Edition 2025 — Saint Joseph's Foc'ra

In 2025, the Saint Joseph's Foc'ra in Monteiasi was celebrated according to the traditional calendar, with the main day on Wednesday, March 19. From wood collection to the "Color your foc'ra" contest for children, to the torchlight procession, the lighting of the bonfire, and the procession with the blessing of the mattre.

The 2025 festival days

The 2025 edition opened on Friday, March 14 with the wood collection procession from the "Leonardo da Vinci" Comprehensive Institute and the blessing of the bonfire. On Monday, March 17, the awards ceremony for the "Color your foc'ra" contest dedicated to preschool children took place. On Tuesday, March 18, the torchlight procession accompanied by the medieval musicians of the "G. Verdi" Musical Academy, with the lighting of the bonfire in Piazza Giovanni XXIII amidst fireworks. On Wednesday, March 19, the main day, the morning Holy Masses, the 12:00 PM procession with the blessing of the mattre, and in the evening, the fireworks display by the Maxima Fireworks company of Bitonto. The entire day was enlivened by the "Città di Grottole" wind orchestra.
