Edition 2025 — Saint Joseph in Salaparuta

The 2025 edition of the Saint Joseph Feast in Salaparuta took place from March 16th to 19th. Fifteen devotional artari were set up across Salaparuta, Poggioreale, and Santa Ninfa, open for visits on March 18th. The highlight was on March 19th with the pontifical mass, the patron saint's procession, and traditional votive breads.

The 2025 Edition

From March 16th to 19th, 2025, Salaparuta renewed the festivities in honor of its patron saint, Saint Joseph. In the Belìce territory, between Salaparuta, Poggioreale, and Santa Ninfa, fifteen Saint Joseph artari were set up: in Salaparuta, three neighborhood altars (two on Via Lincoln, one on Via Macchiavelli at the retirement home) and altars in private homes, such as the one on Via Bellini.

The altars were open to the faithful on the afternoon of March 18th. The main day, March 19th, featured a morning marching band parade, the solemn pontifical mass at the Church of the Most Holy Trinity celebrated by the Bishop of the Diocese of Mazara del Vallo, Monsignor Angelo Giurdanella, and a static exhibition of vintage Fiat 500s in Piazza Mercato. In the afternoon, the act of entrusting the city to the saint and the statue's procession concluded the feast, accompanied by traditional votive breads and the Table of the Saints.
