Edition 2025 — Saint Joseph Feast

In 2025, Nizza di Sicilia once again celebrated its patron saint, Saint Joseph, on March 19th, with the eve on the previous day. The community gathered around the Church of San Giuseppe for the Procession of the Cannici, the solemn procession of the statue, neighborhood bonfires, and the distribution of votive breads, following the rites handed down by local rural tradition.

The 2025 edition of the Saint Joseph Patronal Feast in Nizza di Sicilia renewed the rites that have accompanied March 19th for generations. The eve featured the Procession of the Cannici starting from the Fiumarello district and the tasting of crespelle, while the day of the feast saw the solemn Holy Mass, the procession of the statue of Saint Joseph through the streets of the center, and the blessing of fathers.

As is customary, in the days leading up to the event, bonfires were lit in the neighborhood squares, and the feast concluded with the distribution of the traditional Saint Joseph breads, a symbol of sharing and providence, confirming the community's strong bond with its patron saint.
