Edition 2025 — Saint Joseph in Ramacca

In 2025, the Saint Joseph Festival in Ramacca was celebrated from March 12th to 19th, with the customary 'Settina' of rites and devotion. Families set up votive altars in their homes, while the community gathered in Piazza Umberto I for the tasting of 'pasta co' maccu' and the solemn procession of the patron saint.

The 2025 edition renewed the 18th-century tradition of the Saint Joseph Festival in Ramacca, in the Province of Catania. The 'Settina' saw a series of Eucharistic celebrations in the Mother Church leading up to the main day on March 19th.

As per tradition, on the evening of March 18th, visitors toured the votive altars adorned with Ramacca bread in its symbolic shapes and festival sweets. On March 19th, a large altar was set up in Piazza Umberto I, where pasta co' maccu was offered to all attendees, followed by the evening procession of the statue of Saint Joseph through the town streets.
