Saint Joseph 2025 in Polizzi Generosa

The 2025 edition took place on March 19th, with festivities between March 18th and 19th regulated by a municipal traffic ordinance. The community gathered for a solemn mass at the Church of Maria SS. Assunta, the blessing and distribution of bread, and the afternoon procession of the statue of Saint Joseph through the village streets, accompanied by drummers and a brass band.

The folk heart of the day was, as per tradition, the Tavulata dei Virgineddi: nine courses of local products shared by the entire community, from bread with oranges to tagliatelle with badda beans, up to the essential Saint Joseph sfinge pastries with honey and cinnamon or ricotta.
