Saint Joseph Festival

The 2025 edition of the Saint Joseph Festival in Militello Rosmarino followed the usual ritual that has marked the month of March in the Nebrodi village for centuries. The statues of Saint Joseph, the Child, and the Madonna del Soccorso were carried on the shoulders of local carpenters along the ancient processional route.

The culminating moment of the Salutu ritual was not missed: on the churchyard of the Chiesa del Soccorso, the bearers performed the triple bow, renewing the symbolic encounter between the Madonna and Saint Joseph and the ancient popular interpretation of the bond between the spouses, united only on the day of the festival.
