Edition 2025 — Saint Joseph Melilli

In 2025, Melilli once again renewed its appointment with the Saint Joseph Festival, celebrated around March 19th. The community experienced the traditional religious rites, the solemn procession of the Saint's statue through the historic center, and the charity auction of devotees' offerings. The free distribution of the typical Saint Joseph soup, prepared by the Mother Church parish community according to the ancient recipe, was also a key feature, confirming the festival as one of the most heartfelt events in the Melilli calendar.

2025 Saint Joseph Festival in Melilli

In March 2025, the town of Melilli (SR), in Sicily, celebrated the Saint Joseph Festival around the liturgical day of March 19th. Popular devotion was expressed, as per tradition, through the solemn procession of the statue of the Patriarch Saint through the streets of the historic center and the characteristic charity auction of devotees' offerings.

The heart and identity of the festival was once again the Saint Joseph soup, prepared for days by the Mother Church parish community and distributed for free to attendees, in an atmosphere of sharing and solidarity that has marked this spring event for generations.
