Saint Joseph Festival and Rite of the Saints

The 2025 edition of the Saint Joseph Festival in Fragagnano was held on March 15 and 16. On Saturday, after the "colpi oscuri" and mass, the procession carried the wood bundles toward the bonfire, lit at 8:30 PM with fireworks by the Maxima company from Casamassima, followed by musical entertainment. Sunday featured holy masses, the procession with the blessing of the "mattre" tables set along the streets, and the town band playing throughout the day. In the evening, in the Church of the Carmine, the Rite of the Saints, the Last Supper re-enactment organized by the Pro Loco, was staged. The festivities, organized with the Maria Santissima Immacolata parish, confirmed the vitality of one of the most iconic traditions of this town in the Taranto area.
