Saint Joseph Feast and Sfincia Festival

The 2025 edition of the Saint Joseph Feast and Sfincia Festival in Baucina took place over several days, from Saturday, March 17th to Wednesday, March 19th, according to the usual local calendar.

Sunday represented the heart of the festival: after the re-enactment of the Flight into Egypt of the Holy Family, the faithful were able to visit the great Saint Joseph Table at the 'pilgrim's house', laden with fresh vegetable produce, votive breads, traditional dishes, and sweets. In the afternoon, the town center hosted the gathering of folkloric groups, followed by the traditional Sfincia Festival, dedicated to the typical sweet of the occasion, and BauCibus with local typical products. From 7:00 PM, the food from the Table was offered to those present as a sign of joy and sharing.

On the evening of Wednesday, March 19th, the solemn procession of the effigy of Saint Joseph took place through the streets of the historic center of Baucina, with the evocative flight of the angels closing the festivities.

Saturday, March 17

• 7:00 PM — Opening of the traditional Saint Joseph Table

Sunday, March 18

• Morning — Re-enactment of the Flight into Egypt of the Holy Family and opening of the great Table at the pilgrim's house, with the blessing of the bread
• Afternoon — Gathering of folkloric groups in the town center
• Following — Sfincia Festival and BauCibus with local typical products
• From 7:00 PM — Distribution of the food from the Table to those present

Wednesday, March 19

• 9:00 PM — Procession of the effigy of Saint Joseph through the streets of the town with the traditional flight of the angels
