Patronal Feast 2025
On June 24th, 2025, San Giovanni Valdarno celebrated its patron Saint John the Baptist with an intense day in the historic center. At 17:15, in Piazza Cavour, the coronation of the Marzocco took place with the golden crown created by artist Luciano Mori, accompanied by an interactive installation by the Fondazione Muse.
Following this, the historical re-enactment organized by the Liberarte association paraded through the streets of the center with costumed participants, culminating in the symbolic exchange of gifts between the Mayor and the Rector and the solemn Holy Mass celebrated in the Pieve di San Giovanni Battista. The festival closed at 21:15 in Piazza Masaccio with the traditional Concert by the Municipal Band.
