Edition 2025 — Saint John the Baptist Vittoria

In 2025, the Saint John the Baptist Festival in Vittoria renewed its centuries-old patronal tradition. Festivities opened with the Viagghiu on the night of June 23rd-24th and the dawn mass in the Basilica, culminating on Sunday, July 6th, with the scinnuta of the Saint and the procession of the statue through the city streets. The celebrations were accompanied by the Saint John's Fair (July 5-6), fireworks, and concerts in the square.

2025 Edition

The 2025 edition of the Saint John the Baptist Festival in Vittoria, in the province of Ragusa, took place according to the usual rites. On the night between June 23rd and 24th, pilgrims reached the Basilica with the traditional Viagghiu, attending the first mass at dawn.

The patronal feast culminated on Sunday, July 6, 2025, the first Sunday of the month, with the scinnuta of the statue at 1:00 PM and the solemn evening procession through the historic center. During the festival days, the Saint John's Fair (July 5-6) was held, along with fireworks, concerts, and musical moments in the square, concluding with the traditional festival lottery draw.
