Saint John the Baptist Festival – Granieri

The 2025 edition of the festivities in honor of Saint John the Baptist was held in Granieri (Caltagirone) from August 26 to 29, enriched by an extraordinary day on August 30 for the centenary of the village's foundation.

• Tuesday, August 26 – entertainment in Piazza Orvieto.
• Wednesday, August 27 – inauguration of photography exhibitions and the solo show by Rosario Vizzini; martial arts and dance demonstrations in Piazza Silvestri.
• Thursday, August 28 – theatrical performance "Amore e come porvi rimedio" and the traditional "Affacciata" with the blessing of the children.
• Friday, August 29 – parade of the brass band and Imperial Drums, procession of the statue, fireworks display, and concert by Bellamorea.
• Saturday, August 30 – "Happy Birthday Granieri!": bread-making workshop, Holy Mass, mini fashion show, historical talk, tastings, and concert.

The festival confirmed the community's strong bond with its patron saint and the identity of the agricultural village.
