Saint John's Festival

The 2025 Saint John's Festival in Castelbuono was held on June 24th, confirming the success of one of the most beloved anniversaries in the Madonie. The fires under the quarare were lit at 6:00 PM and throughout the evening, along the streets of the center and in the most active neighborhoods, boiled fava beans and potatoes were offered for free, accompanied by a glass of good local wine.

In Piazza Castello, the Castelbuono Restaurant Association offered a tasting of Madonie flavors, while the music of mandolins, guitars, and accordions and traditional games accompanied the festival until late at night. The edition confirmed the strong plastic-free footprint, with compostable tableware at all stations, and the awarding of the prize for the best quarara.
