Edition 2025 — Saint Irene Feast

In 2025, the Saint Irene Feast once again enlivened Erchie from June 4th to 7th. Spiritual preparation began with the novena at the Sanctuary of Saint Lucia (May 27th–June 4th), followed by solemn processions, brass band concerts, fireworks at Montearso, and musical evenings that lit up Piazza Umberto I. Closing the festivities was the colorful Kite Festival in the Market Area.

The 2025 edition of the Saint Irene Patronal Feast confirmed the traditional structure of the Erchie festivities, with their strong religious and popular component. After the novena celebrated at the Sanctuary of Saint Lucia from May 27th to June 4th, the festival came to life with the procession of the simulacra and a rich civic program: the concert by I Collage in Piazza Umberto I, the grand brass band concert from Castellana Grotte, the dance performance to the notes of Ravel's Bolero, and fireworks at Montearso. The final Sunday, dedicated to families, saw the Kite Festival color the sky of the Market Area. The event was broadcast via live streaming on the Erchie Patronal Feast Committee page.

Wednesday, June 4th

  • Solemn procession of the Patron Saints' simulacra
  • 8:00 PM — "D. Nicolì" brass band
  • 9:30 PM — Concert by I Collage in Piazza Umberto I
  • Midnight — Fireworks display at Montearso

Thursday, June 5th

  • All day — Brass band concert by the City of Castellana Grotte
  • Procession through the town streets
  • 10:00 PM — Dance performance to Ravel's Bolero

Friday, June 6th

  • 8:00 PM — "How we grow together" event in Piazza Umberto I

Saturday, June 7th

  • 3:30 PM — Kite Festival in the Market Area
