The 2025 Edition
The 2025 Saint Febronia Festival renewed the ancient devotional rites of the patron saint in Palagonia, in the province of Catania. The highlight was Wednesday, June 25: in the morning, the mass with the blessing of the girls and their votive garments, followed by the solemn Eucharistic concelebration presided over by H.E. Monsignor Calogero Peri, Bishop of Caltagirone, in the Mother Church crowded with the faithful.
In the afternoon, the saint's statue went out in procession, crossing the streets of the historic center to Piazza Umberto I, with the participation of city authorities and a large crowd of devotees. The octave continued until July 2 with parish pilgrimages, the visit to the hermitage of Contrada Coste, and the final celebration in Piazza Garibaldi, sealing a festival deeply rooted in the identity of the Palagonia community.
