Saint Dominic Festival

2025 Edition

In 2025, the Saint Dominic Festival in Bagnoli Irpino, in the Province of Avellino, followed its usual calendar. From August 1st to 3rd, the preparatory triduum was held, with the rosary and litanies at 5:30 PM and vespers, holy mass, and catechesis at 6:00 PM.

On Monday, August 4th, the day of the festival, the village woke up at 8:00 AM with the parade through the neighborhoods by the Circolo Socio Culturale 2000 brass band. This was followed by the 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM holy masses, while at 6:00 PM the celebration concluded with the procession that left the church of Saint Dominic, crossed the Vigna dei Monaci district and the southern and northern slopes of the village, to end at the mother church with the Eucharistic blessing.

The secular evening concluded at 10:00 PM with the concert by the cover band Aironi Neri in the square. The celebrations were organized by the parish committee and the parish priest Father Stefano Dell'Angelo, who had extended a special invitation to emigrants who returned for the summer and to vacationers from Laceno.
