Saint Christina Festival (Patronal Feast)

The 2025 Edition

In 2025, the Saint Christina Festival once again enlivened the village of Santa Cristina Gela, in the province of Palermo, around July 24th, the day of the patron saint. The festivities, organized by the Confraternity of Saint Christina, took place over several days with preparatory novenas, the representation of the Mysteries of Saint Christina, and musical and convivial moments in the square.

The religious heart of the festival was marked by the procession of the relics and the solemn procession of the statue of the saint through the streets of the town, accompanied by the brass band, solemn mass, and the traditional fireworks display, in an atmosphere of strong popular participation and celebration of the local Arbëreshë traditions.
