The Patron Saint of Montorso Vicentino
The Saint Blaise Festival is the patronal feast of Montorso Vicentino, a municipality in the province of Vicenza nestled in the Chiampo valley. Saint Blaise, celebrated on February 3rd, is the patron saint of the town and his feast day gives rise to a week of celebrations that combine faith, tradition, and culture.
A Week of Celebrations
The program opens with the solemn Mass and communal lunch, continues with the Candlemas celebration in nearby Zermeghedo and with the Mass in honor of the saint accompanied by the Saint Blaise polyphonic choir and the traditional blessing of the throat and fruit — gestures linked to the figure of Saint Blaise, protector of the throat according to Christian tradition.
The Saint Blaise Concert
The highlight is the Saint Blaise Concert, which in 2026 will be its 37th edition, held in the parish church and performed by the town's polyphonic choir. Organized by the Pro Loco of Montorso Vicentino, the festival is an opportunity to rediscover the community and spiritual dimension of a village that carefully preserves its traditions in the heart of the Vicentino area.

The 2026 edition of the Saint Blaise Festival brought the community of Montorso Vicentino together around its patron saint with a week of religious and cultural events, culminating in the traditional Saint Blaise Concert, now in its 37th edition.

- 11:00 AM — Solemn Holy Mass

Monday, February 2nd
- Candlemas celebration in Zermeghedo
Tuesday, February 3rd — Saint Blaise
- 7:30 PM — Solemn Mass with the Saint Blaise polyphonic choir, blessing of the Zarantonello organ, and blessing of the fruit
Saturday, February 7th
- 9:00 PM — 37th Saint Blaise Concert in the parish church, performed by the polyphonic choir

How to get there
Montorso Vicentino is located about 20 km west of Vicenza, in the Chiampo valley. By car: from the A4 motorway, take the Montecchio Maggiore exit, then a few kilometers. By train: Vicenza station, then bus towards the Chiampo valley.
