Edition 2025 — Saint Biagio Carosino
2025 Edition
The 2025 edition of the Saint Biagio Patronal Festival in Carosino (Taranto) took place from October 9 to 12, preceded on Sunday, October 5, by the evocative "Saint Biagio from the countryside" horse procession, a thanksgiving for the grape harvest. The days alternated between religious and civil events, involving the entire community.
The triduum of prayer and holy masses accompanied the faithful, with the "Sing to Saint Biagio" choral festival. On Saturday, October 11, the blessing of the wine cellars and the short procession of the statue preceded the handing over of the city keys to the Saint by the mayor, while the solemn day of Sunday, October 12, featured a mass presided over by the Archbishop of Taranto, Monsignor Ciro Miniero, and the grand procession through the town streets, accompanied by the Gioia del Colle band.
Regarding entertainment, there were concerts in the bandstand in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele III, children's entertainment, musical evenings, and the final fireworks display that illuminated the sky of Carosino.
