Saint Anthony 2025: Faith and tradition in Mugnano del Cardinale

On Sunday, June 15, 2025, Mugnano del Cardinale, in the province of Avellino, celebrated Saint Anthony of Padua with the customary evening procession. The cortège departed at 5:00 PM from the Sanctuary of Santa Filomena and traveled through the main streets of the town, accompanied by a large participation of the faithful.

The protagonists of the 2025 edition were the pallbearers of Saint Matthew from Salerno, who for several years have carried the statue of the Saint on their shoulders along the Mugnano route, giving the procession its characteristic rhythmic pace.

Upon return, a Holy Mass was celebrated, while the day concluded with a fireworks display, a traditional moment that every year seals the community's bond with its faith and traditions.
