Edition 2025 — Saint Anthony of Padua

In 2025, the parish community of Saint Anthony of Padua in San Cesario di Lecce celebrated its patron saint around June 13, the liturgical feast day. Solemn masses with the distribution of blessed bread, a procession through the town streets with fireworks, the traditional Corrida in Largo Forcignanò, and food stalls with Salento pittule marked the days of celebration.

The 2025 Saint Anthony of Padua Festival renewed the most anticipated event for the parish community in San Cesario di Lecce (Province of Lecce). On June 13, the solemnity of the saint, masses were held throughout the day with the distribution of blessed bread, while the procession carried the saint's statue through the neighborhood streets, accompanied by the band and concluded by a fireworks display.

On the secular side, Largo Forcignanò hosted the historic "Corrida - Dilettanti allo sbaraglio", musical evenings, and food stalls with pittule, sandwiches, and drinks, in a popular festive atmosphere that involved both young and old under the lights of Salento.
