Edition 2025 — Saint Anthony in Tricase

In 2025, the Saint Anthony of Padua Festival once again enlivened Tricase around June 13th, the Saint's day. As per tradition, the community gathered in the church and Piazza Cappuccini for the preparatory tredicina, solemn holy masses, the procession with the band, and folk music evenings, culminating in the fireworks display that closes the patronal festival in style every year.

The 2025 edition of the Saint Anthony of Padua Festival confirmed the strong bond between Tricase (Lecce) and its Saint. In the days around June 13th, the town center was adorned with illuminations, and the community took part in the tredicina, the liturgical celebrations in the Capuchin church, and the procession with the statue of Saint Anthony, accompanied by Apulian brass bands.

Alongside the religious rites, the secular festival in Piazza Cappuccini offered evening concerts and moments of Salento folk music, closed by the traditional fireworks display. An event that every year renews, between the sacred and the profane, the identity and participation of the lower Salento community.
