Edition 2025 — Saint Anthony Abbot Scontrone

In 2025, Scontrone also celebrated the Saint Anthony Abbot Festival on January 17th, with traditional bonfires lit in the squares of the Alto Sangro village. The event, dedicated to the protector of animals, featured the blessing of animals, the distribution of blessed bread, and the tasting of traditional dishes, in a ritual that combines devotion and ancient rural customs.

In 2025, the Saint Anthony Abbot Festival in Scontrone took place as per tradition on January 17th. In the squares of the mountain village, in the province of L'Aquila, the large Saint Anthony bonfires were lit, around which the community gathered to share the warmth of the flames and conviviality.
