Saint Anthony Abbot Festival in Morlupo

2025 Edition

The weekend of January 18-19, 2025, saw Morlupo celebrate Saint Anthony Abbot with the usual program blending devotion and folklore. On Saturday, at 5:45 PM, the procession set off from Piazza Armando Diaz: the statue of the patron saint of animals crossed the historic center, preceded by the Confraternity of the Crucifix and accompanied by the "Mimmi Rocchi" Historical Pageant and the Morlupo City Drummers, up to the blessing of the great fire, a symbol of purification and protection. The evening continued with the "Pulentata with pork ribs and sausages", a highly anticipated convivial moment.

On Sunday, January 19, at 12:15 PM in Piazza Giovanni XXIII, the traditional blessing of the animals was held, followed in the afternoon by the original "Cani da Oscar" beauty pageant in Piazza Armando Diaz. All events were free to attend.
