Saint Anthony Abbot Festival, Focarone Bonfire and Nepesino Carnival

The 2025 Nepesino Carnival

The 2025 edition of the festivities in honor of Saint Anthony Abbot was held in Nepi, in the province of Viterbo, on January 17, 18, and 19.

Saturday, January 18, saw the opening of the 44th Agricultural and Industrial Machinery Fair, a meeting point for farmers and enthusiasts from Upper Lazio, followed by the lighting of the traditional focarone, the large bonfire that reached about nine meters in height that year.

Sunday, January 19, featured the 83rd Grand Parade of the Nepesino Carnival, with the participation of allegorical floats, masked groups, and marching and folk bands, before a large audience arriving from all over the Tuscia region. The organization was handled, as per tradition, by the Pia Unione Sant'Antonio Abate with the support of the Municipality of Nepi.
