Saint Anthony Abbot Festival and Ciambellone & Local Products Festival

The 2025 edition of the Saint Anthony Abbot Festival in Gallicano nel Lazio took place according to the mid-January custom, during the commemoration of the patron saint of livestock and agriculture.

The day featured the elements that have identified the Gallicano festival for decades: the blessing of animals and agricultural machinery in front of the church, the parade of decorated floats through the streets of the historic center, the distribution of the Saint Anthony ciambellone, and stalls dedicated to local products from the Prenestini Mountains.

There was also the flag auction, a charity moment deeply felt by the community, and convivial moments in the square. Participation, as repeatedly emphasized by the municipal administration, continues to grow year after year and also involves younger generations, a sign of a tradition that is anything but museum-like.
