Six days of tradition, cuisine, and spirituality in Lugagnano
The Saint Anne and Saint Roch Festival is the historic parish festival of the hamlet of Lugagnano, in the Municipality of Sona (province of Verona). It takes place at the end of July and represents one of the most important summer events for the community, attracting residents and visitors from all over the Verona area.
For six days, the festival features gastronomic stands with traditional Venetian dishes, served at tables by dozens of volunteers, accompanied by a rich program of music and dance evenings: orchestras for ballroom dancing, country dancing, DJs, performances by local dance schools, and entertainment for all ages. There's also roller skating and activities for children.
Alongside the popular festival, the event maintains a strong religious dimension, with daily masses and a solemn mass in honor of Saint Anne. The celebrations conclude with the final fireworks display. Organized by the parish of Saint Anne with the collaboration of AVIS Lugagnano, the NOI Circle, the Lo Tzigano Charity Carnival Committee, and numerous volunteers, the festival is an example of the vitality of the hamlet festivals in the Municipality of Sona.
In 2026, the hamlet of Lugagnano will once again host its historic Saint Anne and Saint Roch Festival, with six days of celebration featuring traditional Venetian cuisine, music and dance evenings, dance school performances, religious moments, and concluding fireworks. The exact date (usually around the fourth Sunday in July) will be confirmed by the organizing parish closer to the event.
Detailed program coming soon: it will be announced by the parish of Sant'Anna di Lugagnano in the weeks before the festival. The established format includes six evenings with gastronomic stands (traditional Venetian dishes), music and dance evenings (ballroom, country, DJ), dance school performances, roller skating, and children's entertainment, daily masses and a solemn mass in honor of Saint Anne, and a final fireworks display.
The dance evenings with orchestras, the performances by dance schools, and the concluding fireworks display.
