Saint Agatha Festival 2025
The 2025 edition of the Saint Agatha Festival in Montemaggiore Belsito (Palermo) was held from January 31st to February 5th. On Friday, January 31st, at 6:00 PM, the penitential liturgy at the Church of the Crocifisso opened the preparation period. On Sunday, February 2nd, in the Basilica, a 6:00 PM Eucharistic celebration featured the display of the relics; in the following days, the relic visited the Church of the Crocifisso and the Church of the Immacolata, with First Vespers held on February 4th.
Wednesday, February 5th, the main day, opened at 8:00 AM with the alborata, followed by a 9:30 AM Eucharistic celebration and festive bells at noon. At 5:00 PM, the solemn procession took place through the village streets, before the concluding celebration at 6:00 PM. The organization was handled by Father Salvatore Panzarella and the Sant'Agata V.M. Committee.
