Sagra te la Purpetta Festival

The Sagra te la Purpetta 2025 was held on July 30, 2025, at Piazzale Montegrappa in Tuglie, in the Province of Lecce. As per tradition, the evening organized by Pro Loco Tuglie celebrated the purpetta — the Salento meatball — prepared according to ancient home recipes, along with other typical local dishes and local wines.

In the shade of the trees on the Murgia Salentina hill, the festival welcomed tourists, families, and locals returning for their holidays, with the inevitable live musical entertainment and folk dancing under the stars. The 2025 edition was part of the calendar of summer events organized by the Pro Loco, between the Sagra Benvenuta Estate on July 23 and the Festa della Conoscenza on August 6.
