Edition 2025 — Sagra du Contadinu

The 2025 edition of the Sagra du Contadinu took place in Giurdignano on Friday, August 8, and Saturday, August 9. Two evenings were dedicated to the flavors of Salento peasant cuisine, featuring eggplant parmigiana, peppers, porchetta, grilled meats, horse meat, and peasant-style friselle. The town squares were brought to life with folk music and pizzica: Lu Scazzamurreddhu performed on August 8, and Mute Terre on August 9.

Sagra du Contadinu 2025

The Sagra du Contadinu 2025 was held in Giurdignano, in the province of Lecce, on August 8 and 9. Once again, the festival organized by the Pro Loco showcased the best of Salento's peasant cuisine: eggplant parmigiana, fried peppers, porchetta, mixed grills, pieces of horse meat, and peasant-style friselle, all paired with local wine.

The two evenings were enlivened by folk music and pizzica: Friday, August 8, featured Lu Scazzamurreddhu, while Saturday, August 9, saw Mute Terre take the stage. A great community celebration that confirmed the Sagra du Contadinu as one of the most beloved gastronomic events of the Salento summer.
