Sagra di San Bartolomeo

The 2025 edition of the Sagra di San Bartolomeo was held in Illasi from August 22nd to 25th, in the picturesque Piazza Polonia behind the Town Hall. Organized by the Pro Loco Illasi, the patronal festival featured typical Veronese cuisine: gnocchi with tomato sauce or gorgonzola, risottos with tastasal or Amarone, mixed grills, tagliata with rocket and Grana Padano, grilled chicken, and arrosticini. During the festival, the appointment of the Captains of the Contrade was presented, with a procession and flag-wavers, an anticipation of the first Renaissance Palio "Ginevra d'Illasi" scheduled for 2026. The festival confirmed its role as a major late-summer event for the community of Illasi, in the province of Verona.
