In 2025, the Sagra delle Trofie di Castagne – Festa d'Autunno enlivened Busalla with chestnut flour trofie, markets, and music. A deeply cherished festival that celebrates the traditional flavours of the Valle Scrivia every autumn, attracting visitors from across the Genoese hinterland.

The 2025 edition of the Sagra delle Trofie di Castagne, as part of the Festa d'Autunno, brought back to Busalla the signature dish of the season: trofie pasta made with chestnut flour. The Pro Loco's food stalls, accompanied by markets, music, and entertainment, enlivened the town centre in a celebration of flavours and conviviality. The event, recognized as an Authentic Ligurian Event, reaffirmed the connection between Busalla and the autumn gastronomic traditions of the Valle Scrivia, in the province of Genoa.
