Sagra della Provola Basicotana 2025

The 52nd edition of the Sagra della Provola Basicotana was held on August 19, 2025, in Basicò, in the Nebrodi Mountains (Messina), as part of the extended festivities in honor of the Madonna of Basicò, which ran from August 12 to 21. The evening featured the tasting of Nebrodi provola accompanied by homemade bread and local wines, along with the second edition of the "Provola Food" culinary trail.

The program included the traditional parade of Sicilian carts, a performance by the flag-wavers of Motta Sant'Anastasia, and an evening of traditional music and folk dancing. The religious celebration culminated on August 21 with the solemn procession of the statue of the Madonna through the village streets.
