Sagra della Fiocca

The 2025 edition of the Sagra della Fiocca brought back to Baulin, an alpine pasture in the Municipality of Avise, the unique tradition of cream whipped by hand with birch whisks in the ice caves of the Gran Barmé. Organized by the Pro Loco and the Comité des Traditions d'Avise in honor of Saints Peter and Paul, the festival offered guided excursions in the morning, an outdoor lunch with polenta and carbonada and other Aosta Valley specialties, and the free distribution of fiocca in the afternoon. A summer event that draws numerous visitors each year to the Valgrisenche pastures, preserving a rural heritage passed down since 1972.
