Edition 2025 — Acciuga Fritta di Monterosso

In June 2025, Monterosso al Mare celebrated the Sagra dell'Acciuga Fritta, with Pro Loco stands in Piazza Garibaldi and Piazza Tina Anselmi: fried anchovies, salted anchovies on crostini, and pasta with anchovies, accompanied by craft markets, folk music, and the Cinque Terre's Sunset Tour.

The 2025 edition confirmed the tradition of the Sagra dell'Acciuga Fritta in Monterosso al Mare, held over a weekend in June. The star was the Monterosso anchovy, a PAT product fished with the lampara, served fried and crispy, salted on crostini, and paired with pasta.

The Pro Loco stands enlivened Piazza Garibaldi and Piazza Tina Anselmi, while the village filled with craft markets and folk music. The Sunset Tour of the National Park of the Cinque Terre was also featured, with tastings and stories about the maritime tradition, in one of the most evocative gastronomic festivals of the Riviera di Levante.

Programme

The festival took place over two days with food stands opening at noon in Piazza Garibaldi and Piazza Tina Anselmi (fried anchovies, salted anchovies on crostini, pasta with anchovies), craft markets, folk music, and the Sunset Tour of the National Park of the Cinque Terre.
