Sagra del Riso di Merlengo

The 2025 edition of the Sagra del Riso confirmed the great following of this historic event in Merlengo, Ponzano Veneto, in the province of Treviso. For ten days at the end of August, in honour of the patron saint Bartholomew, the parish grounds hosted the risotto showcase, with a different restaurateur each evening offering their rice-based specialty, accompanied by grilled dishes, summer plates, beer, and wine. There were also the patron saint's community mass, cultural meetings, music, and shows. The sagra, promoted by Collaborazione Ponzano with the work of over a hundred volunteers, reaffirmed itself as an identity-defining event for the community.
