Sagra del Granone – Festa della Madonna della Libera

In 2025, the Festa della Madonna della Libera took place from September 6 to 8 in the Maiella district of Agnone. Saturday the 6th was dedicated to the Spartan Race, tug-of-war, and evening concerts; Sunday the 7th featured the parade of the Flag-wavers and Musketeers of Cava de' Tirreni, the Sagra del Granone at 5:00 PM, and the Palio della Cuccagna between the five factions; Monday the 8th included the procession of the Madonna della Libera at 6:00 PM, the fireworks display with the burning of the Maiella church, and a Neapolitan theatre comedy. The youth association La Repubblica di Maiella was the organiser.
