Edition 2025 — Sagra dei Cavatelli

In 2025, the Sagra dei Cavatelli enlivened Piazza S. Nicola in Macchia Valfortore on the Ferragosto weekend, with the tasting of traditional cavatelli, a visit to the ancient mill, and celebrations for the Madonna Assunta, in a programme also aimed at fellow citizens abroad.

The 2025 edition of the Sagra dei Cavatelli confirmed the summer event in Macchia Valfortore, in the heart of the Molise Fortore. In Piazza S. Nicola, visitors could taste handmade cavatelli according to local tradition, while the Ferragosto programme included a visit to the ancient water mill and the feast of the Madonna Assunta, in an intertwining of gastronomy, memory, and return to roots that characterises the village in the province of Campobasso.

Programme

August 13: Sagra dei Cavatelli in Piazza S. Nicola. August 14: visit to the ancient mill. August 15-16: celebrations for the Madonna Assunta.
