Edition 2025 — Sagra de li Diavulicchi

The 2025 edition of the Sagra de li Diavulicchi took place on August 8 in Morciano di Leuca, confirming the success of the Lower Salento chili pepper festival. An evening of food stalls, pizzica, and rural culture, with the salamura mara as the star and the traditional chili-eating contest, all under the banner of Ecofesta Puglia sustainability.

The 2025 edition of the Sagra de li Diavulicchi was held on Friday, August 8, 2025, in Morciano di Leuca, in the heart of Lower Salento. Organized by the Li Diavulicchi Association, the festival enlivened the town center with food stalls open from 8:00 PM.

The stars of the evening were the spicy flavors of Salento tradition: pittole, frise, rustic pizzas, and the famous salamura mara, accompanied by pizzica and live folk music. There was also an artisan market, the Campagna Amica area with zero-kilometer products, and the most anticipated challenge, the chili-eating contest. In 2025, the event once again confirmed its eco-sustainable vocation with the Ecofesta Puglia certification.
