Sagna e Fagioli Festival

The 2025 edition of the Sagna e Fagioli Festival, the 52nd in the series, took place as every year on August 20 in the historic center of Settefrati, in the province of Frosinone. The day followed the ritual that has been repeated for over half a century: wood stacked from the morning, fires lit under the enormous cauldrons placed behind the church, and the cooking of the sagne in the shadow of the Medieval Tower, under the watchful eye of the village's most expert cooks.

The free distribution of the dish, served by Pro Loco volunteers with some women in traditional Ciociaria costumes, was accompanied by folk music in the festive atmosphere of the Madonna di Canneto days. In 2025 as well, the festival attracted thousands of people, including many Settefrati natives who returned for the occasion, confirming it as one of the most identity-defining events of the summer in the Comino Valley and the entire Ciociaria region.
